I have been working in the recruitment industry for over eight years, and Yes, I still absolutely love it.
Understanding and connecting with new people, learning about diverse business cultures and providing an assured resource to add value and drive positive change are just a few reasons I enjoy being in the industry.
The role of a recruitment consultant is to provide exceptional service for job seekers, employers and society as a whole. So, what makes working in an ever-growing industry so awesome?
- You help organisations scale:
Using your expertise, knowledge and the benefit of an outsider’s perspective, you contribute to your client’s long term strategy, business objectives and vision. Helping all different types of organisations grow and gain that all-important competitive edge and improve their overall recruitment process.
- Develop new skills:
In recruitment, adaptability is key and juggling multiple projects for multi-million international organisations in a fast-paced and exciting atmosphere is nothing out of the ordinary!
You’ll develop your communication, problem-solving, relationship management, time management, and negotiation skills, which are invaluable no matter what career path you choose.
- No Two Days Are The Same:
No two days are the same in recruitment, and it’s not just your day-to-day duties that vary.
Working in recruitment gives you the power to work autonomously in exciting markets that you may be passionate about or want to learn more about. Staying innovative, creative and testing out new tactics is a must if you’re going to stay ahead of the game – which means you’ll never get bored!
- You get to work in a solid team.
While recruitment may seem like quite an individual pursuit on the surface, in reality, it’s centred on teamwork and supporting co-workers to meet common visions and goals.
As Michael Jordan once said, “Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships.”
Often, you collaborate with your teammates to find the right fit for your client’s role or a high-calibre candidate. Many of our consultants here at TP; will say the most exciting thing about their role is working with their team to solve problems and be a part of a like-minded community that enjoys socialising outside of the office. In recruitment, the term all ‘work and no play doesn’t exist.
- Nothing beats the thrill of winning & being rewarded:
Recruiting is a diverse and challenging role – but that’s precisely why so many people have chosen to make it their career.
Competition is fierce, and our clients expect the best.
Also, no matter your base salary, commission structures mean you have tremendous earning potential. With no commission cap, you can reap the rewards for all your success.
With the motivation from a supportive leadership team, comprehensive training and professional development and a rewarding commission structure. Couple these assistances with hard work, resilience and a pro-active mindset you’ll be on the fast track for results, recognition and progression.
With dedication and the right attitude, recruitment is a profession where you can thrive!
