Transition Partners are supporting Smartwork’s Clothing Drive this March. Here’s how you can help transform women’s lives.
From 1st March onwards, ahead of International Women’s Day, Transition Partners are collecting high quality clothing and accessories for Smart Works, a UK charity that dresses and trains unemployed women for their job interview.
We’re supporting Smartworks because we want every women to have an equal chance at gaining employment. At Smartworks, each woman receives a complete interview outfit, personally styled for theme and theirs to keep, followed by one-to-one interview training.
In 2018, over one in two of those we were able to contact got the job and in 2019 and Smartworks train more than 3,000 women. A visit to Smart Works can change the course of a woman’s life.
Visit Transition Partner’s office and donate the following:
- High quality, interview appropriate clothing: suits, trousers, skirts, tops, shirts, dresses, coats.
- Accessories including shoes, handbags, scarves, jewellery and new pairs of tights
- Unopened and new cosmetics, make-up, skincare products and perfume.
- High-quality non-work wear (e.g. jeans, party dresses, designer wear) – please note that this may be sold at a pre-loved sale to raise funding to operate the service.
